No more stag photos yet. Youngest brother was supposed to be sending a disc of them. Yet when chased today, the sending operation appeared to be very much in the planning stage. Apparently there's a world shortage of compact discs in Guildford.

Anyway, the saga of the house that was sold but actually wasn't takes another twist. With the imminent departure from Etchell Towers, the weekend saw a mad dash around Battersea to find a place to rent. If estate agents in general can be rather daft, then those that deal with lettings really lead the way. Apparently the fact that one flat was literally sat on the South Circular, didn't matter because 'soon it's summer and then everyone rides their bike'.

So eventually we signed up, references permitting, for a 'luxury penthouse' flat. London's biggest roof terrace will have to go some to compensate for the 15 freight trains that will rattle past the bedroom window every night.

Tune in next week for details of the great Etchell espresso cup and small glass car boot sale.
