the new url

Okay, so the original idea, straight from Comedy Central, was to call it bobbins.blogpsot.com. However, amazing as it seems, someone beat us to that. So the halfway house compromise became thebobbin.blogspot.com. But who can remember that?

So, whodowethinkweare.blogspot.com it is. After a year away, these were the first words of greeting spoken to us by Mr Slater, aka The Landlord. Never shy of putting anyone in their place, it seemed the very idea that we'd want to have another website now that we had returned to the UK had provoked his ire...'who do you think you are?...'

With that, a star was born.

storming the citadel

Operation CopyTheEtchells has swung firmly into place upon our arrival back to London. First we invited ourselves round to their new pad in Oxford. And now we are living in their 'Chelsea pied-a-terre'.

And very nice it is to. If you knocked down the flats directly in front of the kitchen window then you'd be able to see the Thames. Wonderful..

In preparation for becoming a proper married couple next year, we are busy inviting people round for 'dinner'. As the landlord only supplied 4 chairs, everyone is being having to come round in pairs - much like Noah and his ark. Every cloud has a silver lining and at least the smaller intimate groups mean a better view of the colossal mountain of holiday photos we now have...

JC - it's incredible how many people forget to get in touch with you after you've been away for a year, but then suddenly remember you exist when Crystal Palace lose their first 2 games of the season and are suddenly bottom of the league....

boat party madness

The first Saturday night back in London. Laid on in our honour (well sort of), with 250 guests, the PBS Express did us proud.

What better way to arrive home than sailing down the Thames on a balmy midsummers Saturday evening, admiring the view of the greatest city in the world.

Contrary to popular expectations, and after a year of going to bed at 9pm every night, both Ms Love and I managed to stay up till 5am. Proving the old-timers still have it in them.

Thanks to Andy and Sam for a bed for the night and Tina and Pete for the many bottles of champagne.
