i wish it were sunday

Oh dear, I'm tired.

I'm tired because we've had a rather busy weekend, so busy in fact that I can't actually remember what happened during the week.

We've been out both Friday and Saturday night (happy birthday Emma). Some shoe shopping, Nanny Doris and Crystal Palace were squeezed into Saturday afternoon. And today we've been out wining and dining with my long lost (lovely) cousins in Maidenhead. I've also been left with the crushing responsibility of writing the blog AND doing the photo captions while Pete tries his best to get to Scotland for another week away. At last check he had missed his flight to Edinburgh (due to train delay) and was heading to Glasgow instead (ok, that last bit is probably more tiring for him than me, but I'm tired just worrying about it. Aww).

Mostly though, I am tired because the toilet has stopped flushing.

It used to be the sort of toilet that my friend Simon astutely called 'the kind that you have to sneak up on'. As of this morning it has become a rather less catchily named sort. 'The kind that you have to flush with a bucket'. The plumber comes tomorrow morning.

Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get more exciting than an abandoned car and the weekly sudoku competition.

Gosh, Court - sounds like such a nice relaxing weekend :) Hope the rest of the week is better!

I'd be glad to trade you our busted furnace and cracked bath-tub for you semi-flushable toilet.

What do you think? Fair deal?

Love,
Your Aunt
