sisters are doing it for themselves
OK. So Pete went on a stag do, and I went on my own, unsupervised, solo trip to Stockholm to visit Tina this weekend.
Amazingly the world did not grind to a halt when I first went to the wrong train station and then arrived late to the airport. No one rushed me on when I wandered aimlessly around the terminal. I even bought a magazine, a sandwich and some popcorn without agonizing over my lack of budgetary prudence! Travelling on my own is fun...
In all other ways Stockholm was lovely and Tina was the perfect hostess. She treated me to a traditional meal - which included 3 bottles of wine and some party hats (Swedes are a bit strange that way). There was also a rigorous schedule of home decorating shops and historical houses... heaven.

What!! No day-long hikes up mountains? No back-packer hostels? No fruitless searches for a football match? No tantrums? Just food and wine and lollygagging around the shops and old houses? This is sounding more like my idea of a holiday!!!
